ExcelPR Group Earns Back-to-Back PRism Awards

October 25, 2007 – For the second year in a row, ExcelPR Group was recognized by the Public Relations Society of America – Los Angeles Chapter (PRSA-LA) with the prestigious PRism Award.

The agency earned the first-place award in the “Media Writing” category for its series of advertorials titled “Biotech’s Best Kept Secret.” The advertorials were created for the Italian Trade Commission (ITC) to promote foreign investment in Italy’s biotech sector. The series was published in top-tier business magazines including BusinessWeek, Red Herring and The Economist.

The panel of judges also honored ExcelPR Group with the Award of Excellence in the Corporate Newsletter category for its work on ITC’s Bio-Nano Insider newsletter.

In 2006, the agency took home top honors in the sought after Corporate Communications and Nonprofit Campaign categories for its work on behalf of FilmL.A. This year’s winners were announced during the 2007 PRism Awards Banquet held October 24th in Hollywood.


ExcelPR Group Adds New Healthcare and Biotech Clients

Researchers at the 3D Sonography Center of Beverly Hills recently introduced a new 3D/4D-guided technique shown to help improve the pregnancy rate for in-vitro fertilization. ExcelPR Group has been retained to provide media relations aimed at healthcare professionals and targeted consumer audiences.

ExcelPR Group Honored at SABRE Awards

May 9, 2007 -- ExcelPR Group has earned a 2006 SABRE Award Certificate of Excellence in the very competitive Entertainment category for its work on behalf of FilmL.A. – the Los Angeles region’s one-of-a-kind film office.

Sponsored by the Holmes Report, the SABRE is among the PR industry’s highest honors. It is the largest public relations competition in the US, attracting more than 1,800 entries annually. The awards recognize agencies that demonstrate superior achievement in branding and reputation management, with a focus on innovation, strategic thinking, integrity and measurable results. The 2006 winners were announced May 8th in New York City.


ExcelPR Group Expands Digital Media Practice

January 24, 2007 -- ExcelPR Group has added BakeSpace.com and fatsecret.com to its growing entertainment and digital media practice. Both clients have tapped the agency to provide branding, media relations and strategic counsel.

BakeSpace was launched in August 2006 as the first true online social network for people who are passionate about food. Members gather on the site to post, search and exchange recipes, share culinary tips and build relationships with other food enthusiasts from around the world.

fatsecret.com is an online community and resource where people interested in weight loss can learn about popular diet programs and share their experiences.

ExcelPR Group Earns Top Honors at 2006 PRism Awards

October 19, 2006 – Competing against many of L.A.’s largest public relations
agencies, ExcelPR Group has captured two prestigious PRism Awards from the Public
Relations Society of America-Los Angeles chapter (PRSA-LA). The firm swept two of
the most sought after categories, earning first-place awards for best overall corporate communications (non-profit) and best nonprofit campaign.

The judges honored ExcelPR Group for its work to re-brand FilmL.A. – the Los
Angeles region’s one-of-a-kind film office. The campaign included multi-faceted
media outreach and public awareness programs focused on FilmL.A.’s reforms,
expanded services and efforts to help Los Angeles retain its signature industry.

The PRism awards are presented annually to recognize excellence in strategic public
relations programs and tactics. PRSA-LA is one of the largest and most active PRSA
chapters in the U.S. Winners were acknowledged during the 2006 PRism Awards Banquet held October 18.


Erik Deutsch Appointed to SCBC Communications Advisory Committee

August 22, 2006 – The Southern California Biomedical Council (SCBC) today announced the appointment of ExcelPR Group Principal Erik Deutsch to the Council’s newly formed Communications Advisory Committee.

SCBC is the trade organization for the life sciences industry in greater Los Angeles. Its mission is to advance local biomedical/biotechnology research, development, manufacturing and job creation.

Mr. Deutsch is one of four founding Advisory Committee members tasked with
implementing communications strategies to help SCBC launch new initiatives and
advance its mission.


ExcelPR Group Adds International Trade and Ophthalmic Clients

April 14, 2006 – ExcelPR Group continues its rapid expansion with the addition of two new clients – The Italian Trade Commission (ITC) and Lenstec, Inc. Both join the agency’s diverse roster of clients in practice areas ranging from healthcare and life sciences to real estate and the entertainment industry.

September 29, 2005 – ExcelPR Group today announced the addition of two new medical device clients – Bausch & Lomb and Medical Tactile, Inc.

The agency will provide brand positioning, media relations and tradeshow support

Medical Tactile, Inc. (MTI) is an emerging provider of advanced tactile imaging
systems for the early detection of breast cancer.
